Why You Should Have A Workout Buddy

Some of us like to workout by ourselves, and that’s okay! We don’t like to be sweaty or
gross in front of people. But maybe it’s time to reconsider. Having a gym buddy keeps us
accountable. They provide support and motivate us. They just simply make working out a lot
easier. Here are some more important reasons why you should have a workout buddy with
you the next time you hit the gym!

Working out with a gym buddy will leave you and your friend happier and feeling more
emotionally balanced. Working out is goes beyond our physical appearance. Regularly
exercising also gives us more energy and strengthens us mentally. It releases chemicals in
our brain like endorphins that make us feel happier and enable us to better cope with
stressful times.

It’s been proven that when we have a gym buddy working out with us, we tend to push
ourselves a little harder. We get in that one last set or extra rep that pushes us beyond what
we thought we were capable of.

Safety should always be your number one priority when working out, why is why having a
spotter when you’re weightlifting is always super important. When you have a gym buddy,
you’ll always have someone to spot you or accompany you if you’re doing any outdoor
workouts in a new location, especially when it’s dark outside.
